I have a 89 civic hatch which i done a b16a swap in it. it ran for a while then started to overheat but it wont do it when its idling. I had to replace the head gasket and it is still doing it. someone told me that it could be the radiator or that the head wasnt tighten enough. Has anyone else had this problem?

Lots of people have and will continue to have over heating issues which can be caused by many things. So many variables it would be hard to tell you exactly what the problem is.

Check that your coolant is circulating like it should be and your fan is working correctly.

I would replace the radiator and the thermostat.

Bleed the water properly....leave radiator cap off can off keep filing water after every few minutes... If it still does it check water pump at low rpm the propella is catching and passing the water thru once the rpm rises the propela loses its gumption... Its a centrafigal pump so its main prob would be when the pump spins fast... But flush radiator first then try this if no gain then you got ur ansa and please make sure to check your head gasket... From experience it does not have to reach red to blow the head gasket
