B16A spun bearing

Dropped the oil pan and removed the oil pickup. Numbers 2, 3 and 4 cylinders had very little side to side wiggle. Only cylinder making noise was #2 cause when I pulled the plug and started the motor it didn't make the knock anymore. After inspecting the rod cap journals , rod journals and crankshaft, there isn't any scaring. there was a tad bit of metal in the oil, but it was very very fine. Would it be ok to just put stock bearings back in or would I need to have the crank machined and put oversized bearings in that are thicker?

You should check the clearances and that will tell you what size bearings to use. Wait, so your planning on doing this while the engine is still in the car? Sounds like a major pain in the ass and it'll make checking clearances difficult. Do you know how to mic a crank? If not then you probably shouldn't do this but if you insist on it however then get some green plastigauge from your local autoparts store and use that to check the clearances. It's pretty straight forward when you see it. Just rip a little piece off, put it on the crank, tighten the rod cap down to spec, then loosen it back up and use the ruler on the packaging to see how wide it squished, then compare that to the specs oem clearance specs.

All the bearings are stamped D8F 0.25. None of them have a color code on them. I'm guessing it'd been redone before without the right size stuff put back in....

do you put a bearing back on the cap, or do it just the cap itself?

in the cap, dont just put them on the crank and tighten it up, you want to make sure its in the cap and as flush as possible first
