B16A2 tach issues? maybe?

Hey, I'm going to sound like an idiot, but no such thing as a stupid question right lol. I don't know if I'm making a problem out of nothing, or if there is a problem. I've got a 00' B16 in a 97 CX hatch. I just swapped in a cluster from an EX, so I could have a tach. With the motor swap do I need the cluster from the Si for the tach to work properly?
From what I've noticed, I'll be driving in 2nd gear driving at 35kph (20mph) @ 3000rpm. Or 4th gear driving at 50kph (30mph) @ 2200rpm. Am I being insane or is that abnormal? Any input would be awesome!

You don't need the matching tach and if you have the b16 trans to match the engine swap, the gear ratio is a lot closer than the original cx was so you're going to be higher in the rpm range sooner than you're used to. It'll be fine, the engine was built to handle it

Okay thanks! I have the B16 trans. I guess I'm just not used to it yet

I know the feeling. I have a quick trans myself. I feel like I should be shifting again even when I'm in 6th
