B18C DC Headers Problem In My EK

00ciivic

My civic is slow.
So I have had these headers sitting around for a while (DC 4-1 1 Piece 1995 Integra GSR) and I just decided to put them on my car today. WELL... I have a 2000 civic (with 95 GSR swap) with stock headers, a GSR test pipe and my old D series catback. When I put the new DC headers in my car I found a problem... It seems to me (I could be wrong, Im stupid) that the stock GSR headers are "longer" then my new DC headers. They wont fit to my test pipe. Did anyone else have a problem like this? Has anyone heard of anything like this? Any help would be much appriecated. Thank you.

P.S. - I thought I might have ordered the wrong header so I ran inside and looked at the box. They say that they are the header for a 94-99 GSR. Hmm :(

yes either your header is shorter or that test pipe is

I had to have my test pipe cut and a new flange made and welded to my test pipe to fit my header. If you don't want to go that route then I suggest you measure the length between the header and the exhaust, then get another test pipe that is closest to your measurement. They have those t.p.s that expand too but I have no idea how well they work.

Exhaust System

Howzit guys. Can any of you tell me, Are the stock headers on the b16a sufficient to run into an upgraded 57/63mm exhaust system?

Okay, just one more quick question. Do yall recommend me taking it to my local muffler shop and getting them to do what they can or should I go another route? If so what do you think I should do? Thanks again for the help guys. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt just me or the headers.

=)
