B18C Gauges

So I'm planning on getting a B18C put in my 96 EX coupe and I realized that since the specs are all different than my stock engine, I need to get new gauges to reflect the new specs. Like the RPM and MPH will be different. So has anyone done that before? I mean I don't even know if Integra gauges will fit into a Civic?

First off... you dont NEED new gagues just b/c you're swapping engines. The stock gauges will still display the proper info once you swap. The only difference is that your redline and top speed are different.

That is not to say you CAN'T swap clusters to match it... just for shits and giggles. I swapped a GSR cluster into my 98 EX just because i liked the way it looked way better than the stock civic cluster. It wasnt hard, but it did take a little time, and most of all patience, cuz it can be a confusing are to work in (isnt electrical always interesting?).

I left in my stock CRX cluster when i swapped my engine just beacuse its funny to have people yell at you for going way past redline =)

Not worth the trouble IMO. I have never seen a GSR cluster swap that completely lined up, there is always a gap...whether large or negligable it would annoy me to no end.

Very true. I have seen some better than others... and even mine isnt that good (i'm lazy). I can deal with the little gap, but i completely see how other people wouldnt like it.
