Recently swapped a B18C1 into my 97 Honda Civic Hatch Back. I originally used the P7J AC bracket to retain my air conditioning. While doing so I found an issue that is rarely discussed, so I wanted to shed some light on the subject.
Although the P7J AC bracket accepted my AC compressor, and I was able to bolt the bracket to my B18C block, I found the lower "torque mount" had issues fitting. The centering stud that the mount slides over was about an inch too high. So I used the old toque mount, and shaved off the rubber on the top side, to squeeze it between the bracket stud and the frame.
I purchased the P54 AC bracket in hopes to fix my issue, and it worked.
Long story short, for those whole are about to swap a B series in an "EK" chassis, using a P54 bracket is the way to go, and is worth the extra money for proper fitment.
