OK, here we go. For starters my name is Mike, I have a 99 SiR coupe. done a B18C5 motor/Tranny swap, car runs great, lots of power for a small car. However, you know as well as I do, thats never fast enough. Now here I am at a road block. Ive read many forums and taken advice from alot of ppl about this very topic so here we go. I recently pulled the motor again due to the fact that it was burnin a bit of blue, so its getting a overhaul. Now for many of years ive wanted a turbo on my civic. now I know youve all heard it before ( I dont want alot of boost, just a bit ) but in all honesty, thats really all I want is like 4-6lbs boost. I know that the C5's ( type R ) are good all motor motors and if I want to turbo or s/c the B series I should do it to the C1 ( GSR ) motor. But for me thats not the case, I only want small boost, just to say I have a turbo civic. I am willing to dish out the cash to get her done, so money for me is no object as this is just a project car anyways. But I have always wanted a turbo'd civic. So what I am asking from you all that have a knowledge of these motors, or have already done a turbo app with succession. What compression pistons should I be looking at, should the cams be changed from stock and what size injectors are recommended? Like im not experienced in doing a turbo build by any means, and im learning as I go thats why I asking for help, but the build of the motor is the cridical part of the build. So all advice is greatly appreciated and put into consideration. Thanks for everyones time and help.
