B20 swap

Civic 1998

New Member
Hey yes got a few questions I got a honda civic 1998. My engine is already bad. I'm trying to do a swap on it. I'm trying to put a jdm b20 b series engine with a cr-v transmission. Yes want to know what else would I have to change on the car. ?? Would the new engine and transmission fit find where the old one was. ??

What kind of CRV transmission is it? RTW4D (AWD) or FWD?

Do you have the engine and transmission already?
Why did you have to get it JDM and not local, it's way cheaper. It's just a B20, JDM doesn't make it any better....
If it's for bragging rights (Yo, i got a JDM engine in here, check it out) then i guess that's up to you

If I were you, I'd be looking into getting an LSD Integra B-series transmission instead of a stock CRV transmission.
You'll need B-series swap mounts for a Civic, B-series shift linkage and shifter, B20 ECU, and a few others

SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH

THOUSANDS of people have done b-series swaps, Google

You'd find WAY more information if you researched. There's no reason to make a thread unless you're stuck. Google everything man, you'd find you answers faster and more thorough. And the following posts after me will just be saying the same thing/

There's an insane amount of information (on this site and others) about this swap. A little googling will get you a long way! This topic has been covered hundreds of times, so it's unlikely you'll get any more info from this thread than you already have.
