So I got my leather ep3 seats a few months ago and I've been gettin tired of my non matching ugly grey back seats so I took them out, and put down some nice carpet instead. I used some 1/2" mdf, black felt and some adhesive. Total cost= $30 and a few hours. I think it was well worth it.

the car its in :suprise:

Looks good. Does someone make a kit for that or something? Or is it all custom work? Because I really want to do that to my back seat...but have NO idea how....

How thick is that mdf? Weight roughly? I might do that in the future to mine, but I'd like to go w/ as little weight going back into the car to cover up where the seats were.

the ep3 seats were a pain in the ass to put in. I had to drill new holes in the seat and a few new ones in the chassis. to make the stock ek rails fit.

As far as the back seats go it really wasn't that hard. I've never done it before but I kinda just went at it by myself today and it worked. All I used was one 4x8 sheet of 1/2" mdf, can of spray glue, 2 yds of felt, circular saw, a jig saw, some scissors and a drill. I just took some measurements of the back seat area and then of the trunk. I fit those peices in and then cut the connector piece w/ a hole in it for the hook thing. Then took it all out again wrapped it and threw it back in.

i'd say the total weight is about the same as the back seat.

doesn't look bad but I wouldn't want to give up my back seats.
