Yeah, thats why I said maybe.
Tuning yourself > having the tools, but having someone else "tune" > using someone elses tool and having them "tune"

I had a 27SF512 model EPROM chip which was re-programmable, made it alot easier than buying chip after chip. But like I said, more research first.

I think you should send your ECU out to get chipped and have the place that chips it put a suitable basemap on it for you. Then you can take it to your tuning shop and they can tune it for you, with whatever "free base" program you choose. Like uberdata or crome.
