So I bought this EJ8 last year May, (2011) and since I've been unemployed and going to school on my GI Bill money has been a little bit more than tight. I do what I can, when I can but this is the epitome of the slow build.

Here what I have...

I replaced all fluids, plugs, wires and dizzy with OEM when I bought it

Fleabay blackout headlamps

radio relocation and blockout plate installed

Yonaka cat back

Just picked up some BWR LCA's, Tein S-Techs, and Koni Orange shocks, just need to get them put on now...

Here's some randoms of the interior and exterior

Start and finish... lol

I really don't plan on doing anything else unless it needs it, like I know brakes are coming soon

You're gonna love those LCA's and to warn you they're gonna feel stiff for a couple days cause those bushing are huge compared to their 1st gens! Very great start and hope it goes all the way ;)

Got the suspension bolted up today

Ordered butyl rubber to seal my blackout headlamps

Just ordered my EBC Green Stuff brake pads from summit, gonna pick up new disc's drums rear pads and a rebuild kit from advance auto in the morning.

I take a pic or two the drop in the morning. I love it, it's very mild and if you didn't know what you were looking for you wouldn't even know its dropped (you guys will all be able to tell)

ooOoOOoooo also I had the shop cut off my exhaust hangers and re-weld them so my exhaust sits straight, I was stoked that my muffler tip was vibrating off my rear bumper on the way home!

Looking good! We almost have identical cars, but yours is super clean. I wish I had an EX, so many more options lol.

In for pics with the new parts on

I'm not exactly sure how bad my stock LCA bushings were but these new ones are soft as hell compared to the stock ones.

Resealed my fleabay headlamps this morning. Hoping the butyl rubber seals better than the crap that came on it

Headlamps look so much better!

I'm thinking I may need a bra on this car. My front end has some significant love bug damage from the previous owner. Now sure I want to get a hood only or full frontal bra????

Do it! I have the half mask on in the summer, and the full throughout the winter.

Really? Thats odd, cause new bushings are to stiffen at a control management, especially if brand new but who knows cause you do have their 3rd gen so maybe there's a tad bit of change during their remodeling procedure ;) anyway before i ramble to death, lol really good job, and keep up the great work!

So whats next on your plate?

They probably are stiffer but my stockers were SO shot that they seem softer.

I'm not sure what I'll do next. I'm thinking drop the oil pan and replace the gasket, and the drain plug with a good magnetized one and hopefully that will stop my oil leak.

Probably get a half bra for the hood and maybe save up to get the front bumper re-shot in white to clean up the love bugs.

More than likely just save money so if and when something big takes a shizz like the transmission I can afford a another one. I'll be putting a lot of miles on it over the next years so I need to keep that in mind.

Lol...yea that could do it!
How bad is your leak now...and if anything you should look into Spoons drain plug kit cause the magnetic stem is a pretty good lenght compared to other options out besides the skunk2 of course but I really dont trust their products anymore due to alot of bad feedback and pictures Ive seen! Also J's Racing (Name Brand) drain plug is nice and a tad bit cheaper only thing is no tranny plug just oil pan, so just keep that in mind!

I'll look into the Spoon plug one today.

as you asked what was next I pulled the trigger on camber kits front and rear. I know I didn't really need the rear and I could have done the Home Depot trick but I really wanted to get a 100% band matched, and I just don't trust myself and the Home Dept trick.

Yeah i wouldnt do any home depot trick if i were you cause last time I checked; they didnt sell car parts, lol
...but no seriously never cut corners when building your car if you have a passion for it, cause it'll hurt you in the long run! There no point in taking 2 steps forward and when something goes wrong without any say so immediately have to take 4 steps back when it couldve been done right the first time! Anyway, i love your build cause i see great potential in your ride and how you're already starting off on a good foot, keep up the great work buddy and ill def stay tuned in to your thread ;)
