hey i've just recently bought my first car about four weeks ago, a 1995 honda civic dx hatch auto. as i start to further understand the car, i notice a few different things between every model with modifications and such. i've noticed a difference in the valve covers, how mine looks "flipped" for lack of a better term. what's the mechanical difference between my spark plug and oil entry placing (top) and nearly every other car i've seen (bottom)

yes, i have installed an aftermarket air intake as well. also, if any of my terminology was incorrect, PLEASE correct me. i like to communicate as clearly as possible.

Thanks!

You have the D15 motor. The motor pictured under it is the D16 I do believe. Not to fear though, do a lot of searching and you'll see it's pretty easy to swap in many other motors. I myself am just completing a B16A2 swap from my current motor just like yours. The D15B7. If you look at the block, left of the exhaust manifold as you're staring down at the motor standing in front of it, you'll see the engine code pressed into the block.

Welcome!
