battery fuse blowing need help

ok guys, ive been working on my eg hatch for a little while now doing an ls swap, im about ready to start this b***h up but everytime i hook my battery up my battery fuse pops, any ideas?

check the ground wires from the battery and fuse box, you probably have a short somewhere.

im not 100 percent sure i havent put it in my brother was doing it but im almost positive positive first

Hooking up the battery cables backwards should not cause the fuse to pop. It cant cause damage to electrical components however (ECU, sensors, etc).

You most defiantly have something grounded out that should not be. You can pull your fuse panel and start OHM testing every fuse to the body. Make sure you pull the fuse before testing. You need to put your probe in the socket. (LULZ)

thank you guys for all your help, i had a bad ground in my fuse box under the hood, i changed the wire and it works great now, no more popping fuses.
my next question is why wouldnt i be getting spark now? it cranks like its it's job but it just wont kick over, any ideas?
