Battery light on: '00 EX

my friends got a 2000 ex sedan and his battery light is on but faint we changed the alternator and battery and it still pops up i have no idea whats wrong with it need help please

Is the car still driveable? Are you cruising down the road and it just shuts off? Have you checked if your battery is good and or supplying the right voltage?

yeah its driveable but i wanna know why
that battery light still comes up

Did you install an OEM, aftermarket or used alternator? Are you sure its the correct battery?

You did not get an OEM from Advance.
Was it really new or remanufactured?

If its from Advance then its reman.'d. Its not uncommon for such reman.'d parts to be faulty. test everything as suggested, if nothing else turns up, go swap it out at Advance for another.

easiest way of checking if alternator is good or bad, disconnect the battery while the car is running. A good alternator will keep your car running regardless if the battery is connected or not, the car only uses battery to start it. if everything is working as it suppose to and if you still get the light i would check the E.L.D which is inside the under hood fuse box ELD (eletrical load dectector) most commonly over looked like as if it was never there.
