Battery Relocation

I bought a new battery (red top) cause my stock was struggling with my sound system. However it doesn't fit in the stock battery holder. I'm gonna relocate it to the back. I made a tray and a box big enough for the battery and carpeted it to match the sub box and interior carpet. Can I use my 4 gauge subwoofer wiring to connect the new battery to the positive connectors that went to the old battery? Can i just ground the old negative wiring and then ground the new battery to the frame? I dont really want to buy the 60 dollar wiring kit. lol. I have a 99 dollar amp kit with 4 gauge wiring that I hope will work. Thanks! :???:

4 gauge wire is good enough you will want to run it through the inside of the car, i came along the passenger side were the fuel lines run. and do secure the wire, and shrink wrap and soilder EVERYTHING power is nothing to mess with. .then i just went to autozone and got a marine battery box. hope this help.

k. I can use my 4 gauge wire to run it from the battery to the distribution block, but from there how do I get it to he starter etc? DO i just hook the wires from the distribution block up to the wires that went onto the old positive battery terminal?? How does the alternator recharge the battery if i do this?? Also, do i jsut ground the old positive terminal wires from the old battery driectly to the frame? or do i have no use for that anymore?

you need to get a dual battery isolator to run two different batterys that are not exactly identical. And getting second battery for your system before you get a beefed up alternator is going to put more stress on your system than help it. I would put the extra battery idea on hold. Or possibly return the red top for the honda sized yellow top. Then get the proper alternator to run the system.
If you dont have the alternator power all that work you do is useless

just run the 4ga to the dist block under the hood, then run the stock wires from the fuse cox and the starter to the dist block. then find a good ground in the back and get some 4ga or bigger wire to attach that to

:what:

Whatever, You will find out that you need a dual battery isolater. Then you will find out that you are f**king up your alternator because two battery is going to be a bigger resistance load on your alternator. Ask at least an auto electrical mechanic before you take these peoples advice or you are going to f**k up your car

he is only using on battery in the trunk, he is removing the one under the hood, that has been said twice now

hes only using one battery in the car. i used 0 gauge, and my friend made me a custom distibution block for the power wires. one goes to the starter and the other to the fuse box.

yup. One bettery. I'm gonna use 4 gauge wire from the bettery to the distributer block then whatever wires are needed from there. I think 8 gauge. but i dont ubnderstand how the laternator can recharge thre bettery if theres only one positive wire going from the battery tot he dist block. Can someon tell me how this works? :s
