Battery Relocation

So a friend of buddy of mine was showing me his battery relocation that he did on his Integra GSR, he used 4 gauge speaker wire to run from a breaker switch to the battery in the trunk. The breaker had the two power wires from the fuse box to the AUX side of the breaker and the battery power and starter power to the battery side.

Heres my question, is a 100 amp breaker large enough for this setup?

I think he said he was using like a 150 amp, I'm not sure though. I just don't want to start a electrical fire or some crazy s**t. Any help is appreciated.

what do you need a breaker for? i relocated my battery and all i needed was a spool of wire, new terminals, a couple ring connectors, and junk to secure the battery in the trunk

for integra's you need a 100 AMP circuit breaker/fuse and for civics you need a 80AMP

you don't necessarily need one but its just an extra safety thing, you should put the fuse/circuit breaker near the battery in the trunk so if the power lead wire should ever catch fire, it will only burn for a few inches...not the whole 14-15 ft. of the length of your car

i'm assuming you drive a civic? the 100 AMP will hold but the starter in a civic only draws 80A so yea it will hold but 20A is a big range for some random error

ooo well i dunno what the preludes take to crank...basically you have to base your fuse on the starter's cranking amps, i would think its a 100A but im not sure

also man, your pm box is full
