bent steering hub

i got a replacement wheel and airbag for my civic, when i took the wheel off, the hub was not centered, it was pointing slightly downward. does anyone know how the hell this happened? or how to correct this? it is making my wheel rub on the column cover, so much that it makes steering difficult. thanks for the insight

A picture might help. If it's what I think it is, then you will need a new Steering Column. I might have one from an EK if you'd be interested in purchasing, just PM me.

As far as how it happened, maybe a previous accident, it'll take a good amount of force to bend that.

never been in an accident, ill post up a pic tomorrow. is there any possibility its just not lined up right?
