yep so im looking for some new rims, just not too sure on the size. ive come to the conclusion that bigger isnt better. just wondering how a 6th gen coupe would look with 15s? ive found some rotas i like, autox actually.

15x6.5 only weigh 12 lbs. just wondering if i can pull of 15s or if 16s are as small as i should go.

any input would be great. thanks.

16"s look better IMO, but if your all about the lightness then 15"s

i would go with 16s

edit: just realized your car is green, IMO those rims are a NO NO for you

i had 16's on my em1, and it looked titts....but ive seen a few 6th gens with 15's that looked good too....although, im not sure how those shiney black and red wheels would go with your green car though...dont get me wrong, im a fan of those wheels --- but it might look kinda funky on your car ;)

but yeah, you could pull of 15's, but i think 16's might look a lil nicer :thumbs up

It depends on how much your lowered really and what you plan on doing with the car. I choose 15's because I autocross and track the car regularly . If your going for looks Id say 16's are fine. If you get 16's or 15's your probably going to want to lower the car eventually, when I got my 15's in the beginning the car wasnt lowered and It looked weird with the gap and the size tire that I had on the rim (large sidewall) but its up to you in the end. ya i understand most saying the red/black on green is a big no no, but im gonna try and go out on a limb and go for contrast in colors instead of the "clean" style that is the look for now.

looking at jdm cars, they are the last from clean, contrast is the key. well, i shouldnt say opposite of clean, but i dont think their wives ever said "those clothes dont match", so you get my point.

regardless, anyone got a pic of some 15s on theirs? im already lowered 2.25, so im guessing 15s with 45's should be DUMPED.

thanks for the info everyone.

i guess the only reason im wondering about 15s is because thats the only size they make for the autox. id probably go 16s if i could, but i just wanted to see if theres any wheel gap front to back with 15s.

i dont think ive seen 15's with 45 heights.. i think the shortest for 15's is 50..stick with 15's they look better in my opinion

Considering 15s are stock on a 6th gen (im pretty sure) U would go no bigger than 17s... esp if oyu plan on dropping it or are already dropped.

ah awesome guys thanks for the pics.

i think id stick to 16s really, and i agree that 17's as big as any sane person should go with on a civic.

you can get 40's for 15's, although i dont think i could drive over a stone without tearing my exhaust off lol

6th gen with 205/50/15's can look pretty damn nice. Check out gabebauman's coupe on 15" Rota's

Thanks Mike...After going from 17in wheels to 15in wheels...I'm definately a believer in the smaller wheels now. You'll want to use a 205/50 or 195/50 tire if so.
