Ok here I go well at the junkyard they have the jdm b16b for sale but I have usdm version I was thinking buying the jdm head putting it on b16a2 block. Putting itr cams, Skunk2 pro series intake mani, 68MM TB, whale p**** intake, LSD on my b16 tranny and put apr Rods ETC ETC mostly wanna put money on head later block also I THINK ima go boost later on maybe summer of 2013 so will this be a good setup if I wanna go boost or should I just get a gsr block already and get eagle rods etc?? My budget isnt a lot sense I just spent $4,500 on the car btw I'll post pics of my car 99ek hatch SI clusters, SI lip, oem rear lip, spoon Mirroirs, and carbon fiber duck bill, with tien 1 pieces suspension, and last but not least stance rims sexy offset

I know this question has been asked millions of times but I had to ask again BTW first b series build so don't forget that :brickwall:

there is no USDM version of a B16B. A B16B is a civic type R. Putting ITR cams in a CTR head, is like putting the same exact cams in the head. The skunk2 pro series manifold is almost the exact same as an ITR intake manifold. It has very minor changes (in the second version of the skunk2 intake manifold that is...the first version was a direct copy)

The B16A2 head is the same casting as the B16B, just with a mild port and polish from the factory and upgraded valvetrain. You mention wanting to put money into the head later, if that's the case just keep what you have because it's basically the same thing.

you miss read.

You're comparing the same heads with the same internals. The only difference is the JDM B16B head is lightly ported and polished. So it would yield slightly less power overall. A very small differnce between the two. The most aggressive ITR cams ARE CTR cams! Type R heads have dual valve springs. A Skunk2 intake manifold is just like a Type R intake manifold.

Keep the A2 head. Get the ITR cams. Get the S2 manifold. Get duel springs. You basically have a Type R head now.

You guys only forgot that the b16b head Has dual valve springs, to keep from having valve float at the boiling redline its capable of!

Lol Child gave up. If you want better cams don't go oem... Throw some Kelford cams on it.

Already got the whale intake put it on sounds nasty ;)
That intake isn't a high hp adder. It's more focused on throttle response and mid range torque, keeping you further away from your 225hp goal. OEM cams WILL NOT get you to your goal. PERIOD.
