Big 3 Upgrade Questions (Pictures)

I've been having the problem off an on of my car not starting randomly. I ended up replacing the starter thinking that was going out. Then I replaced the battery with Gold version sold at Advanced Auto parts. I had them check the alternator and it's charging just fine. Sometimes I would wiggle the negative terminal cable and then it would magically start?

Now I'm reading about the big 3 upgrade and had some questions.

Does this cable look like it needs to be replaced? #Tranny to Chasis

I think the negative battery cable looks decent. It has a snug fit. #Battery to Chasis

Here is the connection on the underside. I don't know why someone connected over the paint like that?

I don't know if this positive power cable could be an issue or not.

This is my new starter. I don't know what the rubber cap is that won't go on, but that's how I found it.

Here is the #Engine to Chasis. It looks like it's coming un-braided.

Questions:

1) Any recommendation for complete big 3 upgrade kits?
2) If not, I know I'm going to need steel wool to remove paint, some wire cutters, and something to crunch the fittings on the wire, maybe new battery terminals?
3) Any other constructive comments?

Thoughts, ideas, recommendations.

Thanks,

All the "ends" look ok, not fraying so they will work just dont look pretty. Id remove them all tape the ugly up, clean both sides of the ends on a wire wheel and also use a drill with a wire wheel to get a clean surface where they mount after their back on spray paint over them to stop further corrosion. The wire that you wiggled to get to start id replace all together and add a 8ga ground from the batt to the t-stat housing
