I have two questions. The first is that when i bought my 96 ex in the summer the passenger window didnt go down i would hit the button and just nothing would happen. the driver side window would go down sometimes. Sometimes i would have to open my door and close it again (hard) in order to get the window to go down but now no matter what i hit the button and just nothing happens. I am wondering if this is the window motors? I am not sure if it is related but i also have some ground problems (i believe) because when the car is cold the brake light is on until i shift into the gear that i am going to cruise in and then it goes off and also my climate control lights do not come on unless i hit the top of my dash hard and then they will come back on for a bit. NEED HELP PLEASEEEE

You've definitely got some electrical problems (indicated by the light issues). EJ/EK's are notorious for having power window motor and regulator issues. Both of mine went out, just replaced them with OEM replacements off of Amazon, and have had no problems since.

To figure out whether it's the motor or not, take off your door panel (held on by a few screws, one in the pocket where window controls are, and the other is directly behind the door handle lever) and clips. Once you've unscrewed all screws, pry at the door panel starting where the speaker is at, and working your way up and around. It will come loose, but don't yank it off yet. On the inside of the door panel, there are a few wires connecting things together. There is a clip wire at the window controls, unclip it. There will also be a brown wire, if I remember correctly, and it's located near the door handle. Just make sure they're both free, and take the panel off. From there, turn the ignition over to accessory, and try to roll your window up and down. The motor is just behind the metal skeleton on the door, which is behind the dust shield (that weird feeling plasticy s**t). If it's not rolling up or down, you can replace the whole assembly like I did (runs you about $65 per side), or just the motor ($40 or so). Good luck!
