Body/engine choice help

Ok so i really want a 1996 - 2000 hatch but it comes with a really weak engine . While the EX coupe has the better engine. I not sure which one to look into buying. BTW i dont have enough money for a swap. So should go for prefered body or engine? thank you

the hatch should have a y7 in it..if you get one out of a ex coupe it should be the y8..seance you dont have the money for a swap... then i would go for the ex coupe motor the diffrence between the 2 is. the y8 has 24 more hores and vtec. if you do get the y8 "ex" motor you have to find a vtec ecu

I think that you should go first with the preferred engine before body.

Look for a reliable hatch with a swap. But who knows what they did to it.
