Sorry to bump this old post but I'm just trying to help people out in making informed decisions which cost a lot of money. I purchased a body kit from
www.bodykits.com // bodykits.com in early May, and it was suppose to arrive at my house within a few weeks. I JUST got my body kit (over a month later), its pretty banged up but not cracked or anything BUT that has been the least of my problems. Unfortunatly I went on good faith and didn't get everything on paper which is a very BAD bad thing you can do. I live in Canada, and they said they ship to Canada all the time with no problems, but my body kit would not pass customs to get into Canada which I was told I already payed for....So the outcome was I had to take a day off ($14/hour at 10 hours ~ $140), borough my friends truck....drive 3 hours to Ottawa (driving a f150...costs about $100 in gas total), (get stuck in traffic for another 2!) go pick up my body kit, go to customs and PAY 13% or whatever on the body kit ( ANOTHER ~ $150) then finally drive 3 hours home, exchange vehicles again etc etc lots of stuff.....ouch right? Costed me roughly an EXTRA ~$400 and a sick day to get it from them but I got it (plus it took almost 3 months to arrive)....my other option was to pay international delivery fees for them to ship it to me and back to them, AND a 25% restocking fee (would be anywhere from $600-$800 and I'd end up with nothing) All I can say is if you order from them in Canada be prepared to pay customs and have to pick it up (they wont tell you this, and they will claim that it will clear customs and that customs are payed for in the purchase....I found out from the delivery company) btw delivery was from DBSchenker, which I have nothing bad to say about them, they delivered it to Ottawa within a week of having it.
