i have 00 si and iim planning on building a street 350-400 whp turbo motor. i currently have a boosted b16 in it and i was wondeiring how would a b20 shortblock built work with a stock b16a2 head on about 14-15 psi??
the bore is 84mm and the stroke is 89 mm, that right there is a problem with boost and the sleeves are thin so I would suggest boosting something else.
I wouldnt even sleeve your motor, with pistons and rods and headstuds (hopefully already have them) an otherwise stock b16 can handle alot of power, more than enough for a fwd street car. Just one thought
just get pistons and rods, like other poster said dont get a block guard, they are unnecessary and ive seen no data to show they help at all. detonation kills sleeves, and a block guard isnt gonna do s**t about it.
