i have 00 si and iim planning on building a street 350-400 whp turbo motor. i currently have a boosted b16 in it and i was wondeiring how would a b20 shortblock built work with a stock b16a2 head on about 14-15 psi??

The b20 isn't as strong. I don't think the bottom end can handle it, not too sure though.

the bore is 84mm and the stroke is 89 mm, that right there is a problem with boost and the sleeves are thin so I would suggest boosting something else.

low boost and dont over rev it, you should be fine

get a b18 block. with b16 head, get sleeved, rods and pistons plus upgrades valvetrain and you can EASILY hit your goal man.

no...either sleeve the B20, or fine an H23 block and put an H22 head, good for turbo.Or ya, just boost the
B16

i think im gonna just get my bock sleeved and rod pistons and let it be.

id boost a stock B20, 7psi, on a great tune, people do it

i dont think it would be worth the money plus i can get the sale parts for my b16a2 and run about the same withought buying a b20 block

I wouldnt even sleeve your motor, with pistons and rods and headstuds (hopefully already have them) an otherwise stock b16 can handle alot of power, more than enough for a fwd street car. Just one thought

just get pistons and rods, like other poster said dont get a block guard, they are unnecessary and ive seen no data to show they help at all. detonation kills sleeves, and a block guard isnt gonna do s**t about it.
