A manual boost controller has a set screw on the TOP, a port on the SIDE, and a port on the BOTTOM (opposite side of the set screw on the TOP).

- Find a reliable vacuum source to tap from (somewhere post intake manifold). In this case, your vacuum line that runs to your BOV (blow off valve) would be perfect.

- Cut the line and install a "T" fitting where you cut the line.

- Run a line from the "T" fitting to the MBC (manual boost controller) and hook this line up to the BOTTOM port of the MBC.

- Run a line from the remaining SIDE port of the MBC to the wastegate (WG).

- Do a few low gear test pulls to see where the MBC is opening the WG in relation to boost level. Raise or lower as necessary by turning the set screw on the TOP of the MBC (LEFT/COUNTER CLOCKWISE to lower, RIGHT/CLOCKWISE to raise).

Hell no, bring it to a dyno.

Do you need a dyno to tell you how much boost you're running? No, you only need a boost gauge. You can't just throw a boost controller on and not know how much boost you're running. BTW, DIY tuning FTW.
