Boost Help

Just looking for some help, I will be turboing my 99 Si with my tax return money. YEEE HAWW!!. BUT! I want to know how much boost a stock B16 can take. From what I understand it's about 7-8psi. Just need to verify so I don't blow my motor, or my money. Thanks for any help!

depends on the tune of the ecu...there are guys running over 8 psi with a really good tume.

7-8 psi for daily driving.....when u get to the track adjust the psi to 10-12 (but only at track)....have fun wit it....make sure its tuned before u race it around

save for my coated pistons, I run 14psi on stock internals

it also depends on what size turbo you will get! it's all in getting it tuned.

6-8 is coo for DD, but tune it well, IMO thats the most important part of ANY turbo setup.....so do it. please?

Lets see...a d16 can handle 200-220 whp, so im guessing a b16 can hadle a lot more. If your compression test is good run up to 12 psi if you want. I have a d16 and about to boost 10 psi on a DD.

id stay in the 6-8 area...and tuning is definitly key...what are your plans for fuel management??
