i bought a complete turbo kit with intercooler not to long ago and called the manufacture about a few questions i had. from what they told me, everything stock is good to go on the basemap of 5 psi. once i up the boost i know i'll need a walbro 255 fuel pump and rc 440 injectors. they mentioned something about spark plugs but i forgot what they said. i guess this thread is about any unforseen problems i might run into that u boost gurus went through. anything to make this install go a lot easier is much appreciated.

You usualy want to go 2 steps lower on the spark plugs. But, turbo on base map doesn't sound safe. I've seen engines get gernaded on 5 psi. It also depends on what car it is too. What is your HP goal? And what about a 2 or 3 bar map sensor, engine managment, resistor box (if needed)...

so lets say if my gap was .33 then i'd want .35?

the basemap doesnt sound safe seriously?

i have a 93 si with about 192k on it

my hp goals are about 200 hp and 200 torque to the wheels really, nothing crazy.

Putting a bigger gap only delays (retards) the timming. A colder plug doesn't ignite the a/f mixer as much at a time. slowing down the burn, keeping the engine cooler.

you want to gap at .30 and go 2heat rages colder brk7e's i believe.
you don't need a fuel pump till you get up there to the point of new internals. (assuming you rock tha d-series)
