boosted d problem

Hey i have a 95 honda dx with a d15b vtec block, d16y8 head, t25 turbo, fmic, has a crome ecu, dsm 450cc injectors, when i start it when its cold, ( motor wise) it has a very irratic idle, from 400-1000 rpm it bounces up and down, what could this be? TPS, IAC? what would be a good cam for it? crowler, obx, skunk? car pulls soo hard and just frys the tires. and The guy says the ecu is socketed, how can i data log with a crome ecu? do they have data log capabilties? let me know

Bad idle could be a ton of things. Vac leak, bad iacv, throttle body screw needs adjustment, bad tune, etc,etc.

If the ecu has a datalogging header and the chip has datalogging enabled, you would either need a program like freelog or Crome Pro.

its your IACV valve, take the connector off, and if that doesnt help, you have to tighten the valve in there so it wont open....I had to do this....then it worked fine, I had a thread on here about it....and as for cam, id go with Crower stage 2...they are very nice, i bought one for my 99 turbo build SOHC

1. sounds like IACV is acting up
2. as for a cam Crower turbo cams are great... so are Bisi turbo cams
3. for data logging, you would need chrome pro with a data port soldered in.

hey thanks to all, I was told by the owner when he had the car tuned it was @ 265 hp, does this sound right? i mean this pulls so fricken hard, i mean i rode in b18c1 with cams clutch ect and this blows it outa the water, will just fry the tires in 3rd gear when it makes full boost and vtec hits, im running 12lbs daily driven, how reliable do u think it is? its not smoking, pinging or anything, runs good except for the idel and ill mess with the iac and check all vaccum lines,

265hp @ 12psi.....wow thats a lot of hp for 12psi on a T25....i was pretty sure the T25 maxed out at 200hp though....and the T3 42/48 maxed out at 250whp.....so 265 @ 12psi on a tiny T25 is crazy....i wanna see a dyno chart......or some pics of the turbo...maybe its not a dsm t25 or something.....

but MOST d series rods can only handle 220-250whp.....so 265hp is kinda pushing it on stock rods.....

Yea deffenitly man thats SICK!!!! 265hp on a D15 is crazy.. is the internals STOCK??? post some pics of the car and engine bay

people will lie to you to make you more interested in a car. idle definitely sounds like the IACV or fast idle. does it always idle rough or does it smooth when the car is warmed?

Well i know it has je pistons, eagle rods, and its No a dsm T-25, im not for sure if it is a t-25,has dsm 450cc injectors,255 fuel pump,front mount, has a stupid down pipe, its the 5bolt flange, but they Y-ed the exhaust port and the internal waste gate and y-ed it into looks to be 1 7/8" SMALL! so im building a 3" turbo back to apexi n1 exhaust,YEa ill definitly get pictures tomarrw, AS FOR idleing, when i walk out in the morning, start it i have to hold the gas so it wont stall, then the warmer it gets the better it idles,ill check the iac,
