Boosting my zc d16 dohc???????????

I have a turbo ready zc d16 dohc in my hatchback and I'm wanting to boost it but only push about 5-7 psi since its such a high compressed engine. If possible could you send me links to someplace that sells them. Preferably someplace that lets me buy bits and pieces (intercooler, piping, blowoff valves, boost controllers/timers, etc...) because I really don't trust buying kits unless I know it will all fit unlike some of those $800-$900 piece of s**t kits from eBay.
Thanks guys.

you can buy some parts off ebay such as the bov, wastegate, intercooler, intercooler piping, turbo,..heck you can buy probably everything you need on ebay
just gotta buy the real parts and stay away from the replica stuff

++++ rep for X22098....That site is amazing. A little pricey but garret turbos are definitely worth it. Thanks man, that pretty much answered it all, now I just need to figure out which intercooler i can put on my car so it actually fits. I have a 91 civic hatchback but i have a crx front end...Which intercooler should I get that will actually fit in there?? The problem I'm having with the site is that they dont have the 88-91 generation so I cant really tell if any of that will work.

yeah i build my own turbo kit just buy one thing at a time and get exactly what YOU want, not what some company thinks will be good. It s cheaper that way too depending what you want to run

and on the intercooler, rem you do not need the biggest one they make, for 5-7 psi you'll be good with a tiny one, too big and you'll have mad turbo lag. mines only 7" tall and looks great.

yeah lol I deffinitely wasn't planning on getting a huge one for 5-7 psi. but like I said, the website doesn't have the option for 88-91 civics and it doesnt have an option for motor series either. I have a really high compression d series motor so I wouldnt want to get one for like a low compression b or h series. The turbos on that site look great but its really confusing as to which one i should get. I know I need a t3, and not a big one either since im running pretty low psi. So i was looking at either this one --> http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/gat350tr.html this one --> http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/bupot350tr7.html or this one--> http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/bupot350tr55.html I am pretty sure that I need one with 50 trim but if not please let me know.

The Med FMIC will fit your front end w/ ease while retaining your crash bar.
88-91 Parts are listed there as well, you can always email for specifics too.

I would suggest basing your build goals off of a power goal, not a psi goal.
The DOHZ ZC CR isn't that high, its around 9.6:1, it does fine w/ boost.
How much power do you ultimately want to make?

Well right now Im have about 140-145 whp...and I want to get as much power as possible without destroying my engine in a month or rebuilding it....I was originally gonna rebuild the motor for low compression but I wont have enough money to do it so I am just gonna keep the engine how it is and only boost it to like 5 lbs or so. And its not completely stock right now either, its tuned and chipped so I gotta be careful with whatever turbo I end up getting. Like the 50 trim t3 that was on there will be pretty much perfect for me because I wont get any lag and I also wont blow my engine as long as I keep it tuned up and don't rip on it all the time.

you can probably find a garrett Ford t3 for cheap or find a dsm turbo. Both are small and spool fast. Just look on CL or goto a local junkyard.

I just got an offer for a turbo kit minus the intercooler and piping for $300...Its a t3 mitsubishi turbo. The guy says he has it on a del sol right now and that it spools up really fast around like 1800 rpm's....??Worth it??
