I got a b20 turbo t3/t4 turbonetics. External tial 35MM wastegate. I got a 7LB spring in the wastegate but for some reason it won't stop boosting. I gone as high as 15LB on a 7LB spring and I think it can go up more but afraid to. Open up the wastegate check it, no screw loose, spring is perfectly fine, and no damage on wastegate. So now I'm stump. Need some help

you're using the side port right, not the top?

no way to boost too much, you just dont have enough piston,rod, or sleeve
this makes no sense what so ever
think i about it, im saying you cant have to much boost, you just dont have enough piston rod or sleeve to hold the power in

If you are boosting too much then it is 100% a wastegate problem. Just becaused the spring "looked fine" doesnt mean anything. you have to actually test it out. Is the wastegate new? Is it a REAL Tial or a knock off?

the wastegate can be perfectly fine, wastegate placement can also play a part in over boosting, get a manual boost controller to help out, sometimes placing your gate in another position will help.
