i went to nopi nat'ls in atlanta, there was a r32 skyline in the drift competition that had THE coolest-sounding engine i think i've ever heard. he was obviously pushing some serious boost #'s, and the sound that made it sound so bad-ass was the blow-off valve, it made a kind of echo or stutter, i don't really know how to describe it.
it sounded kinda like WWAAAAAAHHHH (engine revving) PSSST shi shi shi shi (BOV sound) anyway he was sitting in the pits when he revved it like that and it was like a wave, everybody 20 yards from him turned their heads to see what was making that bad-ass sound. i was just wondering, what causes that? is it just the massive pressures built up in the intake from the huge turbo? like the bov can't get rid of that much pressure all at once? i'd like to be able to get that kinda sound once i turbo my civic, but i figure thats something you have to have an rb20det running 30+lb. boost to get, so maybe its out of the question. i can always dream though right?
