hahah it's too bad he didn't ask for a bov that sounds like a duck. i've seen videos of ppl who duct tape a duck-call to their bov its the funniest s**t hahaha

more than likely compressor surge.....
and thats bad...
not as bad as you'd think.

it helps keep you in boost
it sounds bad as f**k
and in relatively low boost applications, it does almost no harm

i know people running stock turbo at 7-10psi with no blow off valve, running that way for YEARS and their turbos are all fine.

ive ran mine with no bov before at an event to prevent stalling when i didnt have an iacv.

I'm so glad u guys just ripped that apart bcuz I'm not a boost guru but when I said compressor surge he insisted he heard a BOV that sounded like a "dolphin" and I was hoping someone would validate and destroy his question lol I told him I better not get any flaming from his question and he laughed like I was joking but low and behold lol that's great though no harm done he's just proven wrong so thanx!

dont get me wrong though, its not GOOD for your turbo, but in lower boost applications, its not going to hurt anything for a long time.

in high boost/big turbo/big power applications however, compressor surge will destroy things pretty fast,
