Brake light turns off and on

My break light on my dash in my 2000 honda civic dx is turning on and off somewhat systematically. Most of the times in the morning the light will remain on for my first drive to school. But when I head home at about 12:30 the light is off. Also it is on at random other times but that is just random and I havent noticed a pattern. Could it be that the morning cold is affecting the senor?

Are you talking about the E-brake light?
How's the fluid level?

I dont know civic wise but my srt did the same thing. I had low fluid and everytime I would hit the gas or a hard stop it would come on. Filled the fluid res. and never happened again

The ebrake light should only attached to the sensor on the ebrake handle right? Its not part of the brake fluid. Maybe it's just loose wire, do you have anything else happening that you notice?

Yea but if IM not mistaken and I could be. If your fluid is low your going to get surges in that resevoir. Which Could in turn cause that light to go out and on. Is your brakes locking up or anything also? I know on my 98 My light came and my rear driver drum locked up. I would look into your brake system but first start with your fluid resevoir. You can check your level easily. Find your master brake booster. your resevoir should be right there in you engine bay against the firewall. Just peak inside to see what your level is. If its fine try checking those drums you could have one slightly locked up and not know it. Mine was so bad I have to replace the whole hub.
