Breakin' in a new clutch

So I recently did a clutch job on my 96' coupe and when I was done I was with a few friends and I say "time to break this b***h in". Some dud who was hanging out watchin me work was like, "do a few burnouts in reverse and it will break in". This kid was serious, I thought he was freakin outside of his mind. What do you think about this?
