What's up guys, so last year I bought this 93 civic hatchback D16z6 it ran okay to say the least. It ran for about 3 months of me beating on it daily. And then one day the engine started knocking... But only on the down-revs... Not long after that maybe a few days. Engine seized. I've been ripping the engine apart to diagnose it finally 6 MONTHS LATER. And it is really confusing me.. So here's an overlook at the damage I have found:
-all of the tops of the valves are snapped at the lifter.
-water inside the engine. (From snowstorm)
There no scoring on the cylinder walls at all crank seems fine none of the connecting rods rattle. I'm have no idea what happened to it but I want to swap it with a B20 and go for a turbo setup. Any suggestions, or explanations on what happened?? Thanks
