I was removing the reverse glow gauges on my recently purchased EM1 today. I tried to be so careful but i managed to snap off the needle on my temperature gauge. Is there any fix to this? I tried to Epoxy the THIN needle back into place but it just didnt work. HELP!

if i go to the junkyard and find another cluster, can the needle be removed from the sensor and then reassembled into my cluster? or are they a one time fittment?

I doubt you'll find a si cluster at a junkyard...but if by chance you do, you can't just take the needle off, you'll end up breaking it. you should always try to avoid messing with the needles. but what you're going to have to do is take out the entire temp/fuel guage and replace your old one with it. just be careful when you do it, all that stuff is very sensitive....

May cost a pretty penny but I don't see why they wouldn't be able to get you one

well im not sure if i need the temp sensor because the peice that i broke off is not the orange needle. its the small, metal needle that connects the orange needle to the sensor. i dont know if they come apart and then can be put back together. thats why i think i might need the whole gauge face, needle, and sensor all in one. yea know what i mean? p.s. im posting up pics of my new em1 so be sure to check em out

nope, you broke it. the needle does not nor is supposed to come off. like i said, you're just going to have to get the temp/fuel gauge and replace that itself, not the whole entire gauge cluster. you'll be able to order another one off of Honda, but ddparts could probably get it for you at a cheaper price.

same thing. I found a cluster with like 2xxx clicks less than mine so I put it in. Um. Your best bet is to just buy a new one. Its 85 canadian up here. So maybe 60 or so in the US. Then take the old one out (4 screws or something) and put the new one in. Reverse glow gauges are a b***h!

how do i go about that
If you're not sure about what you're doing, then I would highly recommend having a professional do it...

but you'll basically end up taking everything apart...I did it about two years ago but so I can't really remember what I did exactly...take off everything on the front of the cluster, i think the bezel should be the last piece, then you should just have the seperate gauges. there should be 2 or 4 screws behind the fuel/temp gauge, so you unscrew that and the gauge should just come out...then just piece everything back..like i said, I dont really remember what i did so be very careful and if you're unsure, have a pro do it.

You buy a new gas/temp gauge. NEVER f**k around with your needles as they are very fragile and shouldn't be touched. 6 screws at the back is the aswer. then remove it. IF you fin a new Si Gauge, Remove your old speedo from your Own Si Gauge which has 4 screws at the back and install on new cluster.
