i wont to build up a ls block for a turbo but $ is tight about a grand. i am looking to run about 10 to 15 psi where should i start. and i know what i should do so just tell me what i must do

rods are usually first to go... so get new rods.... and since you're getting new rods, u might as well get new pistons. also u might want to invest in sleeves, but that is beyond your current price range.

I heard that stock LS blocks can handle 9psi easy since the comp is low.

with new pistons and rods what do you think is a safe psi and do you think i would have to do any thing to the head

with new pistons and rods, intercooled and with a bov, i'd be inclined to take it up to between 10 and 15 psi. . .

dont' worry too much about the head, concentrate on building your block

whoever you heard that from is an absolute moron.

i'd get a blockgaurd since you can't afford to get it sleeved. that with pistons and connecting rods should easily allow you to run 10-15psi
