Hello,
I have a stock civic si with a d16z6 (68,000 miles). I want to install a kit later on in the spring, but until then I want to build up the motor to be able to handle mild boost safely without blowing out the engine. My goal would be to at least get up to 200hp at the wheels, if i can get better out of that 1.6 L that would be great too. Pistons, rods, belts gears etc Thanks

your stock block will be able to handle mild boost around 200hp. with a proper tune of course

i had a mild build in my 95 civic z6 and all i had is low compression pistons, block guard, turbo cam, cam gear, and a set of springs and retainers and i ran 245hp at 9-12 lbs for about 3 years before i just sold the car and as far as i know it still runs

im looking to run around 10lbs of boost...@EGHseries those seem like reasonable add-ons....what clutch did you have? and did you change your axles?

I would at least get forged internals, such as, pistons and H rods. You can always go with a zex cam for higher rpms.

for the motor to hold 300whp, you'll need Vitara Pistons, Eagle Rods, and ARP headstuds.

He's asking for around 200whp I think. This can be done with everything stock and turbo thrown on ( assuming it's not ebay s**t ) and a good tune.

Also, psi doesn't tell us anything unless we also know the size of the turbo...

200whp can easily be achieved on a stock block.

Be sure to have propper fuel support and tuning software to accomodate the turbo kit.
