Well those pistons are s**t, if you're gonna boost, especially if you want to run more than 6-8psi.. you need turbo pistons, around 8.5:1 or 9:1 at the most..

Rods = good choice

Rod bearings - go with OE bearings, from Honda

Sleeves - someone else will have to answer that one. Dartons are good, no doubt.. The auction says for SOHC D16.. isn't the ZC a DOHC?

Same with the valvtrain - says for SOHC D16Z most likely for a D16Z6.. But again, I'm not sure..

get vitara if you're worried about build cost. a couple of people on d-series have brought them to 300whp+ and numerous others run them as a dd

I'd go with a different motor then and I would sleeve that if you're really going to be making that much power  Get a b18 if you can ;)

Not doubting that you can do it... but where I get confused is, that you have all this money saved up, and money isn''t an issue, yet you're looking for turbo engine parts on ebay :?:
Makes no sense to me..

500HP -

Let me see here, as what my B18's turbo setup has cost, for the big items...
Sleeves and installation - 1200
pistons - 600
rods - 400
gasket kit - 140
turbo - 700
manifold - 300
intecooler - 300
BOV - 110
EWG - 330
3" exh. - 700
fuel pump - 100
tune - 300
clutchset - 400
wbo2 - 350
misc crap (lines, hoses, clamps, fittings, etc) - 150
labor - free (me and a friend did it all)
welding - free (did it)
MAP sensor - 60
Injectors - 100
resistor box - 100
injector clips - 20
belts, water pump, oil pump, tensioners - 200

As you can see, there's almost 6600$ and I never paid a penny to turn a single wrench.. and that isnt all of it, I am sure... and I'm nowhere near 500hp...

Just be prepared, and if you want 500 ponies, GTFO ebay... :thumbs up

Don't forget about the difficulty of driving a fwd street car with 500hp and the major lack of reliablilty.

and..with 500hp id hope you have some type of tranny upgrades...last time i checked the list it was only for the motor. im doing cam, valve springs & retainers, pistons, rods, headstuds and headgasket in my SOHC and aiming for 300whp @ 15psi-18psi...500hp sounds like ALOT to me bro.

To say the least ;)
500hp is worthless for a street-driven fwd.. Never thought to mention that.. Thank goodness we've got Revolver! :D

i would shoot for a lower HP, seriously, you wont be able to drive it on street tires, need to upgrade the whole front end, axles, tranns will brake from the tourqe, try liek 250whp, like 18psi boost, thats what im building my spare block for around 13psi boost, im onyl shooting for 180whp

ps. ARP head studs for teh DOHC ZC, the SRT-4 head studs, around $120

500 hp ! on a d !!, it can be done but why a d ? if you want 500hp you can get it much easier in a b or a H or a k .... not to say 500hp is easy on any of those platforms either or any 4cyl for that matter. It is one hell of a goal I hope you find one hell of a shop to help you. Just take time to consider the other aspects of owning a monster like that : borken axles, blown motors, anhilated clutches. And I hope you don't like road trips.
