umm, if it still drives, then your ok. if it clicks when you accel and turn, its prolly just you CV joint. get new axels. you know you broke it when you are driving and your engine just starts to just rev and you see ball bearings fly across the road, hehe!

if its your cv boot or your axle it shouldn't be that bad. I had my driver side one crap out on me kinda... adn i got the whole left axle replaced for like 120 for the part and 150 for labor...

goddam! 120 plus another 150 for one axel? after i took care of the core deposits, my axels were 110 total. but i also installed myself. find a friend with a shop. i did mine in the school shop and we get a discount on parts. 55/axel aint too shabby!

Also make sure your lug nuts are all tightend. I though my axel was done for and I found it was my lug nuts.... my wheel almost fell off.

Lol, its when my car was being worked on heavily, I forgot to tighten the front left wheel.

So my car is making a thud thud thud noise and I though my axel was shot. Then teh car started to veer to the left on the freeway so i pulled over and found that all four lug nuts were almost on the last thread before falling off.

I had a vision in my head of my wheel falling off. So thats the first thing I checked, sure enough thats what it was.

Ugh, dont even say "forgot to tighten lug" I snapped a lug on my drivers fron tire because I was putting my winter rims on, and some one needed to be driven to the hospital or somethin. I forgot to tighten the driverside, and it warped the bolt. :(

You could go to Autozone and it's only $60 plus a $55 core charge which you get back. I cahnged both axels on my civic and on the other civic I used to have. It only took about 45 min. for one axel. Just find someone who has the tools and knows what they're doing, and you'll be alright.
