Hey frist off let me say i dont want my car to be slammed to the ground i just want it lowered a little bit mostly for look. i have 17" rims on 205/40/17 Falken Tires, have tokico blue shocks with some horrible cut stock springs and i want to replace said horrible cut stock spings with some nice lowering springs like 1.75" drop if i do that will it fit ok with enough space? or will the fender be to low to the tires? i plan to sell the 17"s and get 16" wheels (as soon as these lazy ppl finaly get them back in stock) so would it it be ok to change my spings now or should i/ do i have to wait till i get smaller wheels setup? (FYI when i get the 16"s im going to wrap them in 205/50/16 falkens let me know if that 50 is going to be a problem too) please and thank u

I would get them both installed at the same time. If you're already on cut springs, I can't imagine getting real drop springs would be any different in ride height. When you get the new wheels on, get the springs too and then get an alignment and call it a day. My thoughts anyway. Good luck :thumbs up

wait until you get the new wheels, think about it this way.

When you get the new wheels, you will have fresh new tires mounted on them, and you want the alignment 100% even, so that's when you have your suspension upgraded, and by that time, it will be a PERFECT time to get an alignment. you will not believe how much people have horrible toe/camber wear because of being cheap

Ok, thanks yea i plan one way or another to change the springs once the new wheels and tires arrive and then go straight and get an alignment (and a nice lil anit-theft quick release steering wheel lol) but since its been 3 months now and rota still has my rims back ordered till the end of the month im getting impatient cuz even thou its not a daily driver, these miami roads are full of pot holes and dents and just horrible ride i ended up getting a crack in my headers cuz my bumpy ridding car came down to hard going over sum railroad tracks (don't u just love it when your waiting to fix one thing and another one breaks) so i wanted to change the springs asap cuz of how ruff the ride is, but if im buying lowering springs im not gona pay for oem springs much less spend the time to look for them, but i was worried if the lowering springs would allow the 17" to fit ok (who puts 17's on a civic...honestly lol ) o well hopfuly they get back to me soon i'm this close to just trying to find some 16" steelies @_@

my setup a few years ago was tokico blues with Tein S type springs. drop was about 1.5 inches. While I had 195/50/15 tires, no problem. after upgrading to 205/50/15, would rub inner fender when weighted down in back, or when turning while stopping.
with that wide of tire and that deep of drop, are you going to be removing your fender liners?

o wow, but that dosn't seem like it woulda rubbed ^. no i didn't plan to do anything more than just downgrade to 16" wheels and put a much better spring on like eibach they say its 1.6-1.8 drop im not that interested in giong low i don't want it to low and def don't want it slammed thats how it was when i got it on 14" steelies, but i dont want it to be 9" off the ground stock hight either just a lil dropped cuz the body kit will do the rest of the look...or so i figure (fyi planned to get 205/50/16 falkens)

Yeah, I didn't think it would either, but funny how it all worked out.
Currently, running H type Teins over the Tokico blues, 195/50/15 on 15 inch Koenig Heliums. (Skunk2 front, Ingalls rear upper adj control arms), with no rubbing issues or camber problems.
Is only a little lower than stock, but personally I never really liked the slammed look much anyway.
Only have the 1 photo in site garage so far, and can't really tell from the angle how it sits.
As far as the tire size, may want to look at Tirerack.com, and compare the overall height of the tire you want to the stock tire's overall height. I'm sure with moderate drop and as long as overall tire height not too much taller than stock, should'nt have any issues.
