can i turbo my 99 civic dx d16y7

I have a 99 honda civic dx 1.6L D16Y7 and i want to put a turbo in but not sure if my engine could take it and if it could how much boost can i push before i do blow up something?

yes u can, if u do go turbo put it on like 5 lbs of boost. Then after change ur pistons n prety much build ur motor.

its not the amount of boost its the power it makes, stay under 200whp, get a good tune, clutch and all that other bullshit and dont beat the hell out of it all the time.

Are you auto or 5 speed? If auto... no.

If 5 speed, what guy above said... wouldn't really go past 6-7psi regardless of size of the turbo.

First things first, set a (reasonable) power goal, and go from there.
