Does anybody know of any Canadian mail order parts companys? I'm SO sick of paying through the arse for shipping. To tell the truth I'd also prefer to give my money to Canadians. I live in the middle of nowhere here and the custom shops here have nothing on the shelves, they just order it for you and you end up paying more. Sadly here Canadian Tire is the best place to get parts....

Dude, almost everything you said was retarded. If you took offence then that is a problem you should keep to yourself because you're making yourself look stupid. I would have to be some kind of idiot if I was just dying to send my money to a different country. You are not the only ones with an economy that is in the shithole. Besides, the parts I was refering to come mostly from YOUR country, I would prefer to give the handling fees and shipping to a Canadian. If you were to say that you would rather spend your money in the states on a Canadian site nobody would say anything.

what the f**k is with duty?

i have to pay 25.00 duty on a 9.00 package.. just so some overpaid a*****e can open my parcel, and see that its actually what it claims to be..

i have many friends from the US... and i dont think im insulting them, or cutting them down if i'd rather buy parts from my own country... i hate shipping costs... and duty can go f**k itself.

Just across the border near my city there is this place that encourages you to get stuff shipped there. Then you bring it across yourself. They charge $1 per parcel. If it's something you can install on your car yourself you probably wouldnt get caught.

I would never blast anybody for loving their country. I had asked that question on the Canadian forum because I was asking Canadians. Giving me a blast because I wish to keep my money in my own country as much as I can is borderline offensive. Its not like I even mind sending money to your country, but if I can I'm gonna give it to my own the same as you would. I was probably out of line calling your comments retarded but you came in giving me s**t for being patriotic on an American site. I wasn't putting your country down or screaming CANADA ROCKS! or anything, just asking where to get cheaper parts.

All is forgiven. I was wondering why you went off on such a rant in the Canadian forum.

So did anyone find the answer to this thread? =) Is there any good sites that sell performance parts for Honda's in Canada? I would buy from US sites but i just hate paying duty.

There's a few places here in Canada that can get you stuff, but unfortuantely none of them are anywhere NEAR Thunderbay...

But it also kinda depends on what you're looking for. For example, if you are after JDM Honda stuff straight from Japan, there is relatively new shop in Toronto called JDM Place (I don't have the URL, but I will find it and post it for you) that imports all sorts of JDM parts for Hondas, Subarus, Nissans, etc... There's also ARJ Racing Online (http://www.aj-racing.com/) that have not only JDM parts but also other aftermarket items like Spoon or Endless/Zeal. They also have a dealer network all over the US and Canada so you might be able to find a shop close to you. Performance Improvements (http://www.performanceimprovements.com/) is pretty good (believe it or not). Also JRP (http://www.jrponline.com/) out of Mississauga, or Boom+Toys (http://www.boomplustoys.net/) out of Vancouver are good places too.

You could also try other forums like the Toronto Civic Club (http://www.torontocivics.com/) and check out their list of suppliers in and around Ontario/Toronto area.

Myself personally, I tend to use eBay for almost all of my purchases. I know that at times I get a bit burned on shipping, but the Canadian dollar isn't doing too bad against the US right now, so I'm taking advantage ot if.

I usually get out of paying duty by asking sellers (both on eBay and mail order) to declare that whatever they ship to me is a "gift" with a value of less than $50CDN. The Canadian government doesn't tax parcels that come into the country declared as gifts with a value of less than $50 Canadian. It's a bit of a risk 'cause if you order up a $1000 part and it gets lost, it will only be coverd for the $50 declared value! I've never had a problem with lost items so far (knock on wood), and I ALWAYS ask for a tracking number when I order stuff up. That way, I can keep an eye on where it is along the way to me.

And again, it depends on what you're looking for. There are a few other places I could have suggested if you where specifically looking for something like bodykits or maybe rims.

Hope that helps.
