capacitor

i have installed amps in a couple of cars but i just installed my first capacitor in my own car...after i turn my car off and my amp turns off the capacitor stays on....is that ok or is it supposed to turn off?

did you run the remote wire to the capacitor?

not much experience with capacitors but from what i understand they hold a charge after ur car is off

ya i don't know, on mine the display shuts off, but on my roommates it stays on... but ya like sohclubkid said, you should run a remote wire for the cap too...

werd run it thru ur remote should solve the problem

yee they do...when my car is running the capacitor is at a little above 14 volt and i after the car is off it drops to a little above 12 (same voltage as the battery)

my cap is power acoustic brand and it doesn't have a remote wire on/off trigger for it. It goes on and of when it sees an increase in power or an decrease. the max it stays on when the car isn't running is about a minuet.
