Hey guys im looking to upgrade my audio system.
i currently have 1 10" sub with an amp not sure of the watts i believe 600, just wondering if i would need a capacitor for rec use, seen a stinger set on ebay for 150. plus shipping.

no dude, you're fine. After you get to 1000 or more, then a cap would be needed. But it's not like it would hurt. And 150 is wayyyy too much for a cap that you would need. What is it like 5 farads and digital? Theres a rockford fosgate cap for sale on here i believe its like brand new 60 bucks, digital, 1 farad.

And is that 600 max RMS or continuous RMS?

not sure of the amp watt. the previous owner had it installed. the cap is 1.2 farad..but its with 4 gauge wire kit aswell.. for 150....

DO NOT BUY A CAP..caps are a complete waste of money..if anything get another battery..or do the big 3

the first thing im gonna do is re wire the car, maybe change my amp at the same time. if im still having trbl then i may add a cap....i will keep you guys posted.thanks for your help
