Car Alarm not working...help!

K, so yesterday after class in the parking lot i armed the alarm, and after that it just stopped working. I had to manually disarm the alarm so I could drive. In any event, i thought it was the battery that died on the keychain remote, so I replaced the battery. Still doesn't work. So then i thought it might be the keychain unit itself, so I found my other one and tried that one. Nope.

Also checked the fuses for the security system and those both seem to be fine. The alarm completely doens't work. i can't arm it, lock the doors, or anything.

Any other places I should check? can the alarm system go bad? any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

BTW, the alarm is the stock (OEM) alarm.

if the alarm is a stock *cough *cough alarm I would have it replaced and have a real securitysystem put on.
The only thing a stock security system will keep out is a little bunny rabbit with a mean streak

i dunno. mine stoipped too. thw dorrs will lock but the horn wont beep. lol. I;m looking for a faulty ground.

yes honda had an "optional" stock alarm or keyless entry whatever you want to call it. No shock sensor or anything it will start beepin if you open the door though. .. not that it matters my friend in hs had a 2000 lx and we would drive it around and turn on the alarm while driving.

Sounds like it is stuck in valet mode. Happens for no reason. I fix mine by sticking the key in the ignition and pulling it out, then back in, like 5 or 6 times as fast as you can. Has to come al the way out and then all the way in. I give up trying to make this not sound sexual. It is, in out in out in out in out in out.

its not that hard to fix that
