ok so I have a Scytek Astra 777 alarm that I am RE-installing in my hatch. I got all the wires ready to go but one. My parking light relay. I wanted to have it on my high beams as I am going to use them as fog lights. Figured that I would put a relay in form the wire to the ground and then power for the lights. But the problem that I have is that in the manual it says to not attach it to the headlight circuit. I cannot understand why at all because as long as a fuse is in place it should be good, and the wiring I would be using would supply only a few amps really. so does anybody think that this would work?? here is a link to the manual if you would like to look at it.

I believe it would work if you diode-isolated the wires after the relay to prevent any current from flowing back. That may be why they suggest not to do it, assuming that people won't isolate it.

cool thanks. I'll give it a try some time. Right now I'm ordering my door triggers, and a few other sensors so I can feel safer at night
