what the hell is causing this? My old car used to do in the early evening and they later determined it was a faulty shock sensor and the change in temprature was causing it.

should i call the place that installed it? I got the alarm in july 05

its an audiovox prestige with pager

whatever u do, do not get annoyed and just leave ur car alarm off.....

maybe its theives that are scoping out ur car, so they set off ur motion sensor everyday. you get annoyed that its going off every morning, u leave ur alarm off until u get a chance to go to the shop. and on that day when ur alarm is off.. they jack it....

if my pager goes off ever, i come running outside with my mag light and my f**king baseball bat.

oh and best way to find out whats really happening is to camp out by your window to see whats setting it off.....

thats a good idea, every single morning is more than a coincedince but maybe a cat or something. But it really sounds like a bad sensor.

This really doesnt sound like your problem but once my alarm kept going off at night everynight and i found out it was the battery. I guess the cold weather made the battery's voltage drop and after a certain point the alarm would just come on.

It's either a bad battery or a bad install. If you have had your alarm on the car for a while check the battery. The alarm will go off when the batterys voltage starts to get too low

If you got it done professionally, i'm sure they will warrant that s**t, so there is not harm in just getting it checked

yea its professional, but the place that installed it is 70 miles away, so its kind of a PITA to get it checked.

what voltage should i look for on the meter for the battery?

ok went to the place, he messed with my shock sensor and i think turned dow nthe sensetivity, said its working fine, he thinks it might be some sort of radio freqency setting it off, anyways he said if it happens again to check the blinks on the light and call him. Sucks that i drove all the way to sac for that.
