car alarm trouble

[95 Civic_ex]

installing a car alarm today but ran in to a problem. the alarm lock the doors but does not wont to unlock the doors wat could be the problem.

oh yea is the normal in 95 honda civic ex when the only way to locked the door is to close the lock it beause when i get out a cant lock the door while its open i have to close the door and use the key to lock it is something broke

If it isn't unlocking then you have the wrong wire or something else is wrong like the output of the alarm is bad. You can lock the dooor when it is open if you pull the inside drivers handle while you lock it. That is normal, it's a feature to keep you from locking your keys in the car.
