Car Broken Into...

Some a*****e broke into my car tonight.

*summary* All they took was my battery... so it could have been worse.

Well, was watching a movie at my friend's apartment. Third story by the way, facing the parking lot. Went outside to smoke a few times. But of course, as soon as I'm leaving, I notice my remote wasn't working. Whatever, needed to change the battery in the remote anyway.... My car is unlocked. Ok. Strange. No interior light came on... look to see my hood is popped. And of course, my battery cover is on the ground, and my battery GONE. Didn't take my system, or anything worth of value... just my damn battery. WTF

Sorry, needed to vent. BUT WHAT THE f**k.

idk, it just pisses me off that I was right there the whole damn time and didn't see anything. or knowing that if I would have went on the balcony one more time to smoke a cig that I could have at least saw someone... to shoot. blah. Oh well, looks like I'm getting an alarm on payday.

Who would steal just a battery... or they didn't finish the job? Yeah I got a two way pager for my car with a hood sensor... its nice to have.

that's really really common around here.

allot of battery shops will fork out $10-$15 a pop for old batteries, no questions asked and cash on hand

one battery is nothing, a few months ago the car dealership down the road from me had 30 batteries stolen in one night

i had my window cracked enough that maybe a piece of paper could slide through... so my best guess is they got a clothes hanger through the window, and just hit the switch.

I probably would have heard them smash the window... and if that would have been the case... I would of had to whip out my 9, and bust a few caps. lol.

heh, I'm in the same boat. Some f**ker broke into my car about 3-4 weeks ago and dealt a good ~$1k worth of damage.

2 broken windows - passenger side and passenger rear corner glass (which was expensive as f**k) $450
Center console - f**ked it up bad $35
CD player/climate control frame - this thing POPS OUT but the f**ker broke it anyway! $20
cd player - gone, along with the tray. it looks like he just ripped the thing out $300
cold air intake - gone, he popped my hood, took the intake, pulled out a spark plug wire, and snapped a vacuum line $200

It's a damn good thing my rims were sitting in my room since I bent one of them on Beach St, or else I'm sure they would have been gone too! This guy was quick (he hit my car, my brother's truck, and 2 cars down the street in under 1-2 hours) but I'm not sure he knew what he was doing. He did $1k worth of damage for s**t that won't even net him over $300-400!! f**king thieves!

I've replaced all my s**t since then, along with a badass alarm (didn't have one before). The whole neighborhood is on the lookout now. If he comes back he's going to get a serious ass whupping before we call the police!
